confused Well it looks like Bynum will miss 8-12 weeks, that's basically the whole season. Wow I'm just so bummed out I can hardly stand it.
Two years in a row. Now What? If this kind of stuff keeps happening to my favorite teams and players I may have to give up sports all together.
I could go crazy! affraid

Bynum's loss probably has the greatest impact on the championship race, but the least on the Playoff Odds. L.A. is virtually assured of being the top seed in the West even without Bynum, so the real question is whether he can make it back for the playoffs and, if so, what kind of shape he'll be in. L.A. can certainly win frequently even without the behemoth big man, as it showed Monday night, but it's harder for them to get out of the West -- let alone challenge Boston or Cleveland in the Finals -- if Bynum isn't there.

OMG Not again! Crying or Very sad I'm beginning to agree with you. But in basketball you simply can't rely upon one person to make your team....it's more pure team work that football so they've really got to hope their bench can work it out and play well.

Hi Patti,
Yes you're correct about a basketball team being far more than one player and the Lakers will have a great year without Bynum as they did last season. I still have hopes for a Laker championship and thanks to Mitch Kupchak the Lakers are deep enough on paper to pull it off.
But I wanted total domination of the NBA like in the Magic Johnson days, undefeated in the western conference and then sweep Boston in the finals.

Sincerely,
Spoiled Rotten king

Well, Kobe sure did a number at MSG didn't he? 61 points something never done before. That had to have put a smile on your face!
